The endowment was established to provide the fullest possible payment of the tuition and fees to a student meeting the following criteria:
- The scholar must be female
- As a Freshman:
(a) Must be a graduate of a public school in Newport News with a minimum 3.25 GPA or better
(b) Minimum SAT score of 1000 or better
(c) Participate in organizations at school, church, or community

- Must demonstrate excellence in the commitment to study natural or mathematical sciences.

The purpose of the endowment is to provide financial assistance for students who meet the following criteria:
- Full-time student in year 4 or 5 of the Teacher Preparation Program toward the Master of Arts in Teaching.

- Preference will be given to students with strong interest in mathematics, the sciences, special education, or in areas identified by the Newport News School System as being their greatest need. - Must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Priority given to highest GPA at a secondary school.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for students at CNU who meet the following criteria:
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be full-time incoming freshman who intend to major in the sciences
- Renewal of the scholarship, at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid, for an additional 3 years may be given assuming the student remains in good academic standing and continues to be enrolled on a full-time basis pursuing a major in one of the sciences.

The following are the criteria/requirements for CNU's Robert L. Kelly Premiere Theatre Guild Scholarship:
- To be awarded in two segments (1/2 Fall Semester, 1/2 Spring Semester). Awarding of the scholarship the second semester is contingent upon faculty review and consent.
- Applicant shall be a student attending the University on a full-time basis.
- Shall qualify for this award, based on the University's standards at the time of the award.
- Must present a Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or director in support of the applicant's artistic and academic record as well as his/her attitudes, skills, and dedication.
- Must perform audition(s) and/or present design portfolio(s) for Director of TheaterCNU or Theater Faculty designate(s).
- Must demonstrate academic excellence (GPA and SAT or ACT)
- Must complete interview with Director of TheaterCNU or Theater faculty designate(s)
- Must formally declare "Theater" as his/her major.
- Must audition for all departmental productions and accept roles as cast (Tech/Designer students must accept design or technical positions as assigned)
- Must sign and return scholarship agreement within one week of scholarship offer.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for undergraduate students at CNU who meet the following criteria:

This scholarship is exclusively merit based as an incentive to, and reward for, outstanding academic achievement combined with community service. - Must be recent graduates of a public high school in the Hampton Roads region of VA.

- Must have an above average GPA, demonstrate financial need and have completed the freshman year at CNU with an above average GPA.
- Must be undergraduates majoring in business administration, sciences, or technology and cannot be a member of the football team or marching band.
- Renewal of the scholarship will only be given to students whose yearly course of study includes one or more undergraduate courses in the fields listed above and have maintained a 3.0 GPA.

This endowment was initially funded by alumni of the Delta Omicron Chapter of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at CNU. Criteria for selecting the student or students chosen to receive scholarship assistance from the fund specify the recipients must:
- Be attending the University on a full-time basis.
- Demonstrate financial need and academic achievement (2.50 GPA or above) with preference given to financial need.
- Be an active member in good standing of the Delta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma for at least one year.
- Renewal of the scholarship is at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office or awarding body assuming the student maintains a 2.5 overall average, continues to be enrolled as a full-time student, and is an active member in good standing of the Delta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma.

The purpose of this endowment is to serve as a memorial to Teresa Vandover and to recognize academic achievement similar to her own by providing scholarship assistance to CNU students who meet the following criteria:
- Must have financial need and academic achievement with priority given to academic achievement.
- Must be a full-time junior or senior.
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or better
- Must be an English major with preference given to a journalism student selected by a committee of English Dept. faculty.

<<< The Verlander Scholarship
The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance to CNU students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time incoming freshman or transfer student.
- Must maintain a 2.50 GPA once enrolled at CNU.
- May not receive other assistance attributable to the Verlander Foundation.
- Must be a resident or dependent of a resident of Lancaster County, Virginia. Recipients must agree to give a presentation to elementary and/or high school students in Lancaster County of his or her college experience and the benefits derived from the Verlander scholarship.
- Financial need will be considered, but it is not required.
- Preference will be given to students possessing leadership qualities and/or active in extracurricular activities aimed at the betterment of the community.
- Awards may be renewable if eligibility requirements continue to be met.
- An annual application is required for the renewal of the scholarship, preference given to current recipients

- Present a minimum GPA of 2.50 or above.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Preference will be given to students who were former members of the Kay Club at Warwick High School.

The endowment was established to provide scholarships to assist students pursuing degrees in fields related to community service that meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need and academic achievement with priority given to academic achievement
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior, enrolled full time with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or above
- Majoring in one of the following areas: Education, Social Work, Government & Public Affairs, Nursing, Business Administration
- Preference will be given to handicapped students

<<< Caleb and Virginia West Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for CNU students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be an incoming freshmen attending the University as a full-time student.
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Preference will be given to a student who has performed significant levels of community service during their junior and senior years in high school and who has demonstrated a true caring for helping others. A letter of recommendation from a teacher or principal is suggested.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for CNU students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be female
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be deserving Christian girls in need of assistance in securing a proper and adequate education.

<<< Helen Mugler White Scholarship
The scholarship was established to provide the fullest possible payment of the tuition and fees to a student meeting the following criteria:
- Recipient should be a woman between the ages of 24 and 45 years old
- Should be a Classified student who completes between 6-12 hours of study per semester
- Should have a grade point average of 3.0 (or the equivalent)
- Should show substantial financial need

- Must intend to major in political science
- Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need.
- Renewal of the scholarship can be achieved if the above criteria is still maintained.
