2. Must demonstrate excellence in the commitment to study natural or mathematical sciences.
3. Must maintain full-time student status and remain in the Honors Program throughout the period of the award.
4. The scholarship may be renewed for subsequent years, but each annual award must be independently determined by the Honors Council.

The purpose of the endowment is to provide monetary assistance to students who meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a part-time or full-time student at CNU
2. Must demonstrate financial need
3. Must have a 3.0 high school GPA and potential to succeed in the field of study.
4. Recipient will be an incoming freshman. The scholarship is renewable for 3 years if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.
5. Must be a resident of one of the following: Hampton, Newport News, York County or Williamsburg, VA.
6. Preference is given to student choosing a career in health care.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide college funding for financially needy students meeting the following criteria:

1. Must be incoming freshman who have an academic standing for full junior year and for first semester senior year in the top 25% of their respective high schools.
2. Must be a citizen of the U.S.
3. Must be a resident of Newport News for not less than 4 consecutive years.
4. Must be a graduate of a Newport News high school and be recommended for consideration by the principal of that high school.
5. Priority shall be given to students who participate in credible school and/or community activities.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance to students at CNU who meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a full-time music major
2. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
3. Have financial need as verified by the CNU Office of Financial Aid.
4. Preference will be given to students who are graduates of a high school in Gloucester County or Mathews County.
5. Renewal of the scholarship may be given assuming the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA. However, in the event that the award is given to a non-Gloucester or Mathews County, their scholarship is non-renewable.
6. Students will be selected from their audition and above criteria.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide the fullest possible payment of the tuition and required fees of the student in each of their years of enrollment as a full-time baccalaureate student at CNU who meet the following criteria:

1. As a Freshman:
   • Must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Priority given to highest GPA at a secondary school.
   • Minimum SAT score of 1000 or better
   • Extra curricular activities--school, home, community
   • Must remain a full-time student for the duration of the year
   • Demonstrated financial need
2. As a Sophomore:
   • Must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA
   • Continuing extra curricular activities

3. As a Junior:
   • Must have a 2.87 cumulative GPA in major field of study

The Healy Family Merit Scholarship was established to provide the fullest possible payment of the tuition and fees to a student meeting the following criteria:

1. Recipient must be an incoming freshman who must:
   • Be enrolled full-time

   • Have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
   • Have financial need
2. The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years assuming the student remains in good academic standing and continues to be enrolled on a full-time basis.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for students at CNU who meet the following criteria:

1. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
2. Must be full-time incoming freshman who intend to major in the sciences
3. Renewal of the scholarship, at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid, for an additional 3 years may be given assuming the student remains in good academic standing and continues to be enrolled on a full-time basis pursuing a major in one of the sciences.

<<< Robert L. Kelly Premier Theater Guild Scholarship
The following are the criteria/requirements for CNU's Robert L. Kelly Premiere Theatre Guild Scholarship:

1. To be awarded in two segments (1/2 Fall Semester, 1/2 Spring Semester). Awarding of the scholarship the second semester is contingent upon faculty review and consent.
2. Applicant shall be a student attending the University on a full-time basis.
3. Shall qualify for this award, based on the University's standards at the time of the award.
4. Must present a Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or director in support of the applicant's artistic and academic record as well as his/her attitudes, skills, and dedication.
5. Must perform audition(s) and/or present design portfolio(s) for Director of TheaterCNU or Theater Faculty designate(s).
6. Must demonstrate academic excellence (GPA and SAT or ACT)
7. Must complete interview with Director of TheaterCNU or Theater faculty designate(s)

The NDIA Scholarship was designed to provide scholarships for students majoring in a field that supports the national welfare. It was established to provide the fullest possible payment of the tuition and fees to a student meeting the following criteria:

1. Recipient must hold a class status of a senior or graduate student
2. Based on academic achievement
3. Student may be:
   a) Undergraduate Full time (12 hours or more)
   b) Graduate Student
4. Students should be studying or workin gin an engineering-type field (industrial, nuclear, aerospace) and be able to speak to this organization

4. Student must be a resident of one of the following: Poquoson, Newport News, or Hampton.
5. Renewal of the scholarship for an additional 3 years can be given assuming the student maintains a

<<< Peninsula Rotary Club Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is exclusively merit based as an incentive to, and reward for, outstanding academic achievement combined with community service.  Entering freshmen and current students shall be eligible for consideration.  The award is not renewable; however, a previous recipient may be considered with the subsequent pool of candidates and may be awarded the scholarship if deemed to be the most qualified candidate.  The amount of the award will approximate full in-state undergraduate tuition and comprehensive fee (regardless if the recipient is in-state or out-of-state).

The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance for CNU students who meet the following criteria:

1. Must be recent graduates of a public high school in the Hampton Roads region of VA.
2. Must be an American Citizen.
3. Must have an above average GPA, demonstrate financial need and have completed the freshman year at CNU with an above average GPA.
4. Must be undergraduates majoring in business administration, sciences, or technology and cannot be a member of the football team or marching band.
5. Renewal of the scholarship will only be given to students whose yearly course of study includes one or more undergraduate courses in the fields listed above and have maintained a 3.0 GPA.

<<< Sigma Tau Gamma Endowed Scholarship Fund
This endowment was initially funded by alumni of the Delta Omicron Chapter of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at CNU.  Criteria for selecting the student or students chosen to receive scholarship assistance from the fund specify the recipients must:

1. Be attending the University on a full-time basis.
2. Demonstrate financial need and academic achievement (2.50 GPA or above) with preference given to financial need.
3. Be an active member in good standing of the Delta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma for at least one year.
4. Renewal of the scholarship is at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office or awarding body assuming the student maintains a 2.5 overall average, continues to be enrolled as a full-time student, and is an active member in good standing of the Delta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma.

4. If a freshman receives award, they may receive a renewal of the scholarship for an additional 3 years assuming they maintain a 3.0 GPA. (Sophomore 2 years, junior 1 year).

The purpose of this endowment is to serve as a memorial to Teresa Vandover and to recognize academic achievement similar to her own by providing scholarship assistance to CNU students who meet the following criteria:

1. Must have financial need and academic achievement with priority given to academic achievement.
2. Must be a full-time junior or senior.
3. Must have a 3.0 GPA or better
4. Must be an English major with preference given to a journalism student selected by a committee of English Dept. faculty.

<<< The Verlander Scholarship
The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarship assistance to CNU students who meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a full-time incoming freshman or transfer student.
2. Must maintain a 2.50 GPA once enrolled at CNU.
3. May not receive other assistance attributable to the Verlander Foundation.
4. Must be a resident or dependent of a resident of Lancaster County, Virginia.  Recipients must agree to give a presentation to elementary and/or high school students in Lancaster County of his or her college experience and the benefits derived from the Verlander scholarship.
5. Financial need will be considered, but it is not required.
6. Preference will be given to students possessing leadership qualities and/or active in extracurricular activities aimed at the betterment of the community.
7. Awards may be renewable if eligibility requirements continue to be met.
8. An annual application is required for the renewal of the scholarship, preference given to current recipients
